Community Futures Boundary provides many different types of business resources. We have programs in place to help businesses succeed!
Business Planning Workshops:
All new entrepreneurs require a map to get them where they want to be. A well constructed business plan is the map to assist you in developing your business. Keeping this in mind, consider the major components of a business plan.
Self Employment Program:
Individuals presently eligible for Employment Insurance support and having viable business idea to start their own business may apply to access this program. It is important to note that you must not be in business when applying for the Self Employment Program and cannot commence with your business until approved by Community Futures Boundary and Service Canada.
Loan Funds:
Community Futures Boundary also provides funding to individuals and businesses. Loans are available for working capital purposes, capital acquisitions or expansions, and are based on job creation and / or maintenance. All businessess applying for financial assistance must provide a completed application and comprehensive business plan.
Micro Loans:
Community Futures Boundary offers loans of $200 - $5000 at 12% to eligible individuals regardless of their credit history or collateral. approved is based on character and learning potentioal. If you are 19 or older, legally entitled to work in Canada, a resident of the Boundary Area and unable to get money from traditional lenders, you can apply for a Micro Loan at either our Grand Forks or Greenwood offices.
