Who We Are:

Community Futures Boundary - Grand Forks

Community Futures Boundary is a “not for profit corporation” directed by a volunteer group of citizens concerned about the economy and development of their community. Community Futures Boundary is mandated to act as a catalyst in supporting the process of community economic development to the people of the Boundary region of beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

It is our goal to:

Most of all, we believe in creating and supporting the entrepreneurial spirit in our communities.

Community Futures was established by the Federal Government in 1986 to assist local communities in responding to the severe economic and labour market changes they were facing.

Core funding is provided by Western Economic Diversification. Community Futures branches are locally based, non-profit organizations overseen by a volunteer board of directors. There are 34 active Community Futures in BC.

Enterprise Center:

The Enterprise Centre is a private post secondary training institution located in the Grand Forks Community Future offices. The vision of the Enterprise Centre is to ensure the entire Boundary has access to the required training and upgrading which is necessary to stay competitive in today´s job market. The Enterprise Centre provides numerous computer and small business training courses to individuals, companies and organizations. Custom training packages can be developed which are cost effective and locally run.

We also take bookings for the rental and use of our meeting rooms for public or business meetings or seminars at the Grand Forks Community Futures office. This facility offers a secure and private entrance with 12 computers, projector screen, flip charts, LCD projector, overhead projector and tables and chairs available, to ensure a successful event for your conferencing needs.

Grand Forks Enterprise Center Facility Rental Rates:

  • Minimum Fee - $50.00
  • Evening (after hours) - $100.00

Daily Rates

  • Half Day - $75.00
  • Full Day - $150.00
  • LCD Projector Rental (credit card deposit required) - $100.00

Community Futures Boundary offers all area residents access to a resource library filled with a wide range of information to help you with your business ventures, resume and cover letter writing, computer skills, as well as personal goals. We have a lending policy in place so you may take the materials home to review.
